That's The News and I Am Outta Hereposted Feb 15th 2005, 5:55AM
Well, I've been reading comments from a number of other artists about the various rules changes, the way problems have been (or not been) handled, and certain issues with attitude to those with concerns. I did some looking on my own to see several of these things.
So, I'm pulling my stuff soon.
I doubt this will have much impact on the site, as I'm far from a popular artist of any sort, but I don't know that I want to be associated with this site anymore.
Now, I will give them credit for technical skill, and good layout of this site.
Its also not that that new TOS is more restrictive. Aside from the very flexable way several items could be interpreted, part of the problem is the censorship itself. I really despise it.
I've not been that pleased with how some of those in charge choose to field problems. I've also had someone I'd like to consider a good artist, perhaps friend get put into a time out for a picture that was touching, but apparently some have a Bevis and Butthead approach to breasts.
Its not even that many/any of the pictures I do would be pulled up in the new TOS. I like doing "tasteful" nudes most of the time. However, I also know how easily it can be to misinterpret something. I've had that happen to be me before, where a picture of a skunk holding a plush skunk in a place to keep him decent was grossly mis-interpreted.
Anyhow, I can be found on VCL, the DA account is still active, and I'll be putting most stuff up on FurAffinity now.
Its a shame really. I like this method of posting art because you get some feedback and have more of a clue as to who may be watching.
